Hi, Thank you for your interest in Good Girl. Since you clicked on the link, you must want to know more about me, Kimberly Griffith Anderson. I am from Sumter, SC, but I have lived in Rock Hill, SC for the past nine years with my husband Gerald, and our sons Zachary (3yrs) and Nicholas (3mos). I teach high school Biology and Physical Science. As for my education, I graduated from Clemson University in 1998 with a degree in Biological Sciences, and from Cambridge College in 2006 with a Masters in Instructional Technology. In 2004, I earned National Board Teacher Certification in the area of Early Adolescent Generalist. I am not a trained writer, but I do read and enjoy writing. This is my first novel. (I hope that was not evident as you read the book.) As you may have read in the prelude, the idea for the story first came to mind when I was in high school. I didn't actually start writing any of it until 1999. I wrote most of the introductory stuff, then set it aside. With work and school I was too busy to really think about it further, then in May 2006, we moved to a new house and in unpacking, I came across a diskette and a hardcopy of what I had started years before. I sat down and read it and got excited all over again. I must have written for 15 hours a day for the next two or three days--never any writer's block, didn't finish unpacking either. I got to the ending that you read and there was more that I intended to go into with Kendall and everyone's reaction, but I thought...this could go on forever...just stop here. So I did. Over the next day or so, my mind, even in my sleep, was putting together the rest of the story, so I sat back down to add another chapter, and I decided that it really was another book. The tone is different, the focus is different, the mood is different, and most importantly, there is a different conflict. I am very pleased with the sequel, Single Dad 19. It is in the proofreading stages, and I hope to have it in print, by Christmas 2007. It's Good!!! Maybe better than Good Girl. Keep checking the website, it will be for sale here first.
