Links for Parents

Parents,
I have been a high school science teacher for the past nine years.  I run a pretty relaxed classroom, and my students tend to feel comfortable asking questions that arise in their mind.  My rule is that they must use correct terminology for body parts, body fluids, etc.  If a student has a question, but doesn't know the correct words, then the question cannot be asked aloud, they must write it.  In my nine years, I have been asked some very alarming questions, many of which I suppose would have been very uncomfortable for the student to ask at home:

Can you get STDs from oral sex?  What if you don't swallow?

If you have unprotected sex, how long should you wait before you take a pregnancy test?

How can you tell if you just had a miscarriage?

What's the best brand of condom to buy?

If you douche right after you have sex, can that keep you from getting pregnant?

If you got a new girlfriend and she asks you how many girls you've been with, how many should you say?
